P.S. 20 takes pre-registration for zone kids. -03/26

Up at the crack of dawn, parents wait on line to get their kids into the pre-k program at P.S. 20 . As early as 6:30am, the line formed to fill the available 11 spaces for pre-kindergarten. Seven spaces were already spoken for due to parents who have children in other grades that get preference. Only zone parents were able to register their children today. All other parents had to be added to a waiting list.

It is evident that more of the neighborhood is using the public school system. There is a noticeable ethnic divergence between the children in pre-k to 2nd than all other grades.

Update 3/26-The principal has announced today that the pre-k class was filled.
