A Dog's day     From the Farm
A Dog's day has arrived in Brooklyn- Kiki's Pet Spa and Boutique

Kiki's pet Spa and Boutique is located at 239 Dekalb Avenue (between Vanderbilt and Clermont Avenues). It is owned and managed by Saran Nurse, a "mommy" to five dogs including Kiki, a 13 year old dachshund mix,  who is the shop's namesake. They have been serving the community on the border of Clinton Hill/ Fort Greene for five years. A graduate of the New York School of Dog Grooming, Saran has a love of dogs which has motivated her to leave her corporate job for something more satisfying. As a former senior executive for American Express, her marketing experience coupled with an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University serves her well.

They are currently running a special on dog baths, up to 50% off on Sundays and Mondays. Gavin Nurse, a family member who works at the store says, "What makes Kiki's special is our wide assortment of accessories for dogs that few shops in the area can match".  Also, they have a groomer Thomas Liz, who I hear is sensational.

Every dog has its day and apparently, in Brooklyn's landmarked neighborhoods, pet owners are giving their pooch the very best. If you go by, tell them Historic Brooklyn sent you.
