Graziella's Italian Restaurant is "Best in Class"

Graziella's restaurant at 232 Vanderbilt Avenue between Dekalb and Willoughby Avenues is the place for great Italian food and the best brick oven pizza this side of Sicilly. My wife, son, and I went to have a bite and were extremely surprised on the quality and taste of food. The brick oven pizza we ordered was incredible. The picture above shows a small pizza with pepperoni, basil and olive oil. We really didn't know what to expect. After the first slice we regretted not ordering the large.

Cesare the master pizza chef, making another thin crust pie for the brick oven.
Cesare made an amazing pie for us and invited my son to check out the brick oven from afar, of course. It was something I haven't seen before. I wonder how they regulate the heat, keeping the temperature steady for consistant baking.

Cooking time seems to be less than 10 mins or so. After he takes it out, the pies are topped with basil and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. Please do yourself a favor and check this restaurant out. A couple came in and sat at the bar in the front of the restaurant having drinks watching the NBA playoffs. Never thought of this place as a bar. But when you just want a nice spot to share great food with friends, the perfect pint of draft, and the game..It's either here or Mullane's on Lafayette. One thing Mullane's doesn't offer, the pizza. And the pizza may make the difference. Don't forget the stuffed clams, calamari, and chicken parm. heros. I'm making myself hungry as we speak. Definitely an option for great dining or meeting some friends for drinks and good appetizers. If you stop by order me the LARGE pie with pepperoni and tell them HistoricBrooklyn.com sent you. HB
